Monday–Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Dancing Wings 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.)
Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday, 12 noon to 5 p.m.

The museum is open 363 days a year.
Closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.  

General Admission

(does not include admission to Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden)

Seniors: $8.50
Children ages 2-17: $7.50
Children younger than age 2: FREE
Strong members: FREE

Admission to Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden

General admission fee plus $3.00 per person for members and nonmembers; free for children younger than 2. Due to limited capacity, entry to Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden is by timed ticket only. Advance purchase is recommended. Please Note: The last timed entry into the butterfly garden is at 4:40 p.m. on Monday through Thursday and on Saturday and Sunday. Last timed entry is at 5:40 p.m. on Friday.

May is Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden Member Appreciation Month!

From May 1 through May 31, 2008, Strong members SAVE 50% on butterfly garden admission.

This special limited-time offer is exclusively for active Strong members only. Butterfly garden admission is regularly $3, but during May it is only $1.50 for members. Advance purchase is recommended and may be made by calling 585-263-2700.

Matinee Admission

Matinee Admission is available from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Matinee Admission is not available on Fridays, weekends, holidays, or during school breaks.
Matinee Admission is not available from July 1 through Labor Day.  

Adult:  $5.00
Senior: $4.50
Children ages 2-17: $4.00  
Children younger than age 2: FREE   

Admission to Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden is reduced to $2.00 during periods when the museum offers Matinee Admission.  Click here for more information.

Active Duty Military Discount

The museum offers a $2 discount on general admission fees for Active Duty Military personnel (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, and Navy) and their immediate family members who present appropriate and valid identification.

Adult: $7.50
Children ages 2-17: $5.50
Children younger than age 2: FREE
